Laminitis Recovery in Donkey

“Greetings Belinda, I am so pleased to inform you that our donkey Christma (born on Christmas day 8 years ago) is now up and walking with NO limp or signs of pain. Our furrier Robin diagnosed our donkey had laminitis in the front left hoof and that I should contact you regarding this matter. Even though I had never had dealings with a Homeopath in the past, I took Robin’s advice because of his list of successful treatments. He told me that you had in the past from every day horses to race horses, why not our pet donkey? After contacting you by phone consultation, 2 days later I received your remedy pack which I read thoroughly and started immediately. Within hours a difference in donkey stance was noticed. Then days 2 and 3 were the most noticeable improvements. Our donkey now stands and walks with her ears slightly forward (a sign of a happy donkey) without any limp at all. I have also stopped feeding the (bad) sugars like carrots, apples and molasses, and their treat is now oaten chaff. Once again Belinda, I thank you very much for your wonderful work in returning our donkey to good health.”

Yours Most Sincerely,
John D. Dowd. QLD

Amazing results laminitis recovery

“Good Morning Belinda,
Well what progress we have had with Nelly. Thank you for those Pain Eze drops. They worked well for Nelly and gave her a little extra comfort. Nelly is coming along fantastic. She is so mobile now and nearly back to being a normal horse. Her time on her feet has extended out to only lying down twice a day !!!! She no longer feeds and lies down, she now stands after she feeds
Her hooves are growing out well. Steve is trimming them short and we are still 3 months or so away from being fully grown out, but every week we see progress.
Nelly is still on the skinny side, however she is feeding well and her bowls are normal and she eats her Maxi soy on its own. I’ve also been giving her Flaxseed oil every second day.
Her coat is shiny and she is happy. She desperately wants to be out with our other horses but we still feel she is still too weak to be with them. The last thing we need is for her to be picked on.
All her wounds have cleared up as you can see by the picture.
Thanks again for all your help. We have been talking with our Vet Sandy and keeping her in the loop with Nelly’s progress.”

Miniature Pony with Laminitis

Presentation

This pony had a suspected eye injury, with clouding and a solid white spot on the eye ball. The pony’s eye was shut, swollen and weeping badly.

Care

The eye was washed out with homeopathic remedy Golden Seal using just one drop mixed in warm clean water. This was done twice a day. On alternate days Ionic Silver was used. Homeopathic silica was given orally to remove any foreign bodies in the eye (if any). In a week the eye was open and no longer swollen or weeping. The eye was washed just once a day after this. By the fourth week the clouding and spot had disappeared altogether and has not returned.

Leg Wound care – Welsh Cob Stallion

Presentation

This stallion had kicked and caught his leg on the top wire of a fence. This removed the skin on the inside of his rear hock to the pastern joint and the shin bone. He had severed a few arteries and was bleeding badly. The vet was called straight away. While waiting for the vet, we replaced the skin flap and strapped it with a pressure bandage to stop the bleeding. He was also given homeopathic Arnica 30C every five minutes until the vet arrived. The vet removed the skin flap and re-bandaged the wound, remarking that it was the worst leg injury he had seen in his many years in veterinary care.

Care

For two weeks, the leg wound was washed daily with Ionic Silver, and Manuka honey and Calendula cream werapplied to it. The leg was then re-bandaged. Homeopathic Arnica 6C was given once a day to help with inflammation and bruising, and to prevent blood clots. A dose of Homeopathic Ledum 30c was given to prevent tetanus. The stallion was fed one tablespoon of Vitamin C powder per day to also prevent tetanus and promote healing.  Chamomile flowers and rosehip granules were added to his feed. When the wound had healed, Comfrey Cream was applied to the dry wound. Please note: Comfrey should never be used on an open wound.

Horses are prone to leg injuries, with natural solutions they can heal quickly and with little scaring. Homeopathic remedies and herbs prescribed by Belinda can help your horse recover fast to and prevent infection”

Nelly’s Founder recovery

Presentation

This mare has severe laminitis and pressure sores from spending 22 hours a day on the ground. She also had sole abscesses that were very painful. Nelly was under vet care and the pain relief helped for a week or two, then she went down hill. If they could not find a solution, she would have to be put to sleep.  Their vet had heard for my success with helping laminitis horses and gave me a call to see if I could help. I was so happy the vet was happy to go along with my advice and recommendation.

Care

Under the vet’s instruction the mare was taken off the pain relief 3 days before starting the homeopathic remedies. Within 24 hours Nelly showed improvement getting up and shuffling around eating.

As the days went on she continued to improve. A farrier trimmed her feet every  4 weeks.

She went from lying down for 22 hours a day to only 16 hours a day and this reduced over the next few weeks. Her carers applied Ionic silver to her wounds twice a day to help them heal.

With this case we had to change and try a few different combinations to help clear the hoof abscesses and for pain relief till the hooves grew out.

Now 3 months later she is back to normal, only lying down twice a day and happily grazing the rest of the time. Her carers are so happy with the result, as they love her so much.

Newborn Foal with contracted tendons

Presentation

This foal was born with badly contracted tendons in both front and rear legs. She was unable to stand without assistance when born and once up, her rear feet collapsed forwards when she walked.

Care

The foal was given homeopathic Arnica 6C twice a day, and five milligrams of cod liver oil by mouth once daily.  This condition is caused by a lack of vitamin A & D in the mare’s diet, so she too was fed extra cod liver oil. The foal improved by the second day and presented normally by the third.

NOTE: Since we have been using Belinda’s Premium WS Loose lick we no longer have this problem in our foals.

“It’s amazing how fast Belinda’s natural remedies helped this condition, along with correct feeding and vitamins and minerals. Since using Belinda’s Custom Loose Lick this we have had healthy foals and no more contracted tendons. Belinda can help you have happy healthy horses too.”

Horse with muscle injury

Presentation

Tiffany had muscle injury in her front left leg sustained when running in the paddock. She was unable to put weight on the leg, was using three legs to move around, and was in significant pain. Tiffany was in foal so it was imperative that the problem be resolved.

Care

Tiffany was given homeopathic Arnica 30C twice a day by mouth, in conjunction with Equine Touch for three days. Swelling came up in the knee on the second day, so Apis 6C was given and the swelling went down. Tiffany improved rapidly, and by the fourth day was galloping around the paddock bucking and kicking in play. It was plain to see she had made an excellent recovery in just three days – an outstanding and surprising result after such a significant injury.

“Homeopathic remedies can bring about a fast result in muscle injuries and safely address any condition that does not require surgery. Contact Belinda today for natural safe solutions.”

Vomiting Goat recovery

The client’s goat was vomiting and had become dehydrated, with pale gums and head hanging low. Every time he ate or drank he brought it back up immediately. In his paddock we found some garden pruning which he may have eaten. The goat was normally very affectionate, outgoing and loved attention.

Care

The goat was given one dose of Homeopathic Phos 6C via the mouth. We waited ten minutes and gave him a small drink of water, which he kept down. After five minutes more we gave him another drink to rehydrate him. He had picked up and was no longer vomiting. Just one hour later he was fully restored, eating and drinking and back to his old self.

‘Thank you Belinda for helping our goat recover quickly, I highly recommend your services.”

Swelling injury in Welsh Cob Foal

Presentation

This day old foal developed swelling in his rear legs after being kicked in the shins by his dam.

Care

The foal was given homeopathic Apis 6C three times on the first day. By the next day the swelling had gone down – an amazingly quick response to care.

“I am very happy with the quick results for my horse that was lame from swelling & heat in his leg. I would recommend your services to other animal owners.

Miniature Perlino with photosensitivity

Presentation

This perlino colt had severe photosensitivity (looks lick sunburn) around his lips and eyes.

His skin was brown with blisters, as seen in the first photo.

Care

The colt was given Homeopathic Cantharis 6C twice a day and chickweed cream was rubbed into the area. He was also stabled during the middle of the day. Within a few days the photosensitivity/ sunburn had cleared up and did not return.

Photos were taken after Homeopathic treatment with his skin returned to a healthy pink colour and blisters are gone.

Note; new care would include Elitox toxin binder or Belinda’s Amazing Minerals Plus in the horses feed as a prevention to photosensitivity.
